Erosion of the enamel

Erosion of enamel is the phenomenon of thinning and gradual loss of the enamel surface.

One of the first signs of the phenomenon is the sensitivity of teeth towards cold, sweet, food and drinks.

This problem probably appears because of daily consumption of food and drinks that have high concentration in acids, e.g. fruit juices, carbonated refreshments, fruit and wine. When teeth contact these acids, the surface of the enamel softens and becomes vulnerable to teeth decay and even brushing.

The maintenance of teeth’s health requires a frequent visit to the dentist who has the necessary knowledge to advise you properly. In the case of the enamel’s erosion, the dentist can advise you to avoid or reduce the consumption of certain food or suggest a special therapeutic treatment.
